Who we create for

Orvana provides a fresh aesthetic for modern, cultured women in the high-end market. We aim to innovate Western ideas about femininity to empower women who seek to express this side of themselves in a way that feels authentic to their style. A guilt-free purchase by all accounts, Orvana’s uber-comfortable apparel has a modest but undeniably luxurious look that makes our customers excited to talk about the wholesome brand behind their new wardrobe staples.  

About the designer

Alka Mattoo intertwines several passions which make our merchandise so special to conscientious and stylish consumers. These include her love and respect for nature, her drive to create timeless, long-lasting pieces, and her unique ability to incorporate personality and tradition into textiles, garments, and accessories. 

Her lifelong fascination with handmade textiles began in the Kashmir Valley, cultivated over generations by her mother and grandmother. Alka strongly draws inspiration from her time spent growing up and living in India, where all of our products are handmade by a highly skilled and invested team of craftspeople.
